Genius Hour 2

This was genuinely a very productive genius hour in which I completed the following… Created a template to rate how my runs felt and how effective of a training method it was Then for about the last 40 minutes I spent researching various training methods and had to conclude on what were considered the most popular I quickly learned that there is an overload of different training methods although this was something that I began to have trouble with, which methods popped up the most in respectable and reputable running forums and websites. I began to see a trend in differently named methods that followed the same principles and I began to group them together and I was able to land of the 5 methods that are proposed in the document linked below. What I need to do for my next genius hour is actually start the program and I picked a fantastic week to do it, filled with snow storms. Genius Hour Question

I would like to welcome everyone to my blog! The genius hour question that I will be researching surrounds the idea of finding the most effective training methods while training for a marathon. This past year I ran the Toronto Half Marathon without any training and immediately regreted this decision. This year I would like to dedicate a few of the upcoming months to training. Although in the running community and the fitness community overall there is a sense of an information overload. Every month there is a new training method that will create the best results. Therefore I want to investiage the current popular traiing methods and see the effectiveness of each. Therefore, I will be able to differentiate what is a true effective training method and what is simply another passsing fad.
